 Advertise your website in the major search engines.
Recently we wanted to improve the search engine
rankings of one of our websites and did everything we knew to get to the top of
the search engines. As part of our strategy we decided to investigate pay-per-click advertising with
Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Wanadoo, Lycos and Altavista.
We've been running our pay-per-click advertising campaign
for over 12 months now and it's been a fantastic success, resulting in
lots of new visitors to our website … and more importantly new business.
So
we decided to conduct some research to find out how our customers could benefit
from this. We looked at searches for accountants in the major search engines for
different geographic areas and the results are very interesting indeed.
As you
can see from the figures below accountants are yet to catch on to this form of
advertising for their websites.

What Are Pay-Per-Click Adverts?
They
are simply the adverts that appear in search engines. In Google and MSN they appear
across the top and down the right hand side of a page.
Are There Any Guarantees?
We can guarantee
that you'll be listed in the sponsored links that appear at the top of the search
engines and it will bring new visitors to your website. We obviously cannot guarantee
that it will bring in new business. What we do know from our experience is that
it's definitely worth a try. If it doesn't work for you, then just cancel the
